Welcome to
Bible Belt Studies!
The courses offered
by Bible Belt Studies enable adult learning opportunities in a unique and
interesting way. Participants come from Dioceses and Parishes across the
country. We use a learning system that is equipped with the resources needed to
engage in this online method of adult faith learning. Many participants
have learned to know their Scripture better, and to use the Bible for prayer.
Next Course to be
offered: Advent Light, Christmas Joy
Beginning
in Advent, the next online course, Advent Light, Christmas Joy will
explore Scriptural themes of the Advent and Christmas Season. Based
on Scripture and Tradition, the six-week course will focus on the readings
of the weeks before and after Christmas. Three weeks of the
course before Christmas will be followed by three weeks in the New Year,
allowing for a break Christmas week.
Each week some pages
will be assigned for reading and reflection and three questions will be posted
for your reflection and response.. The questions will
be placed on Monday for you to respond to anytime during the week. Participants in the class will find the conversation in
this interactive program an enriching preparation for and celebration of
Christmas. This ministry is underwritten by the Diocesan Lay Endowment Fund and
Supported by the Oblate Sharing Fund.

Participation
requires only minimum computer skills; time line is six
weeks; it is interactive, reflective, and prayerful. First ten
to apply will be contacted with details regarding enrollment, accessing
website, and practice week information.
