Welcome to Bible Belt Studies!

The courses offered by Bible Belt Studies enable adult learning opportunities in a unique and interesting way. Participants come from Dioceses and Parishes across the country. We use a learning system that is equipped with the resources needed to engage in this online method of adult faith learning. Many participants have learned to know their Scripture better, and to use the Bible for prayer.

Acts of the Apostles

"The Acts of the Apostles" will be the next Course offered on the internet Bible Belt Studies program. The story of the early Church is recounted in the scriptures after Easter. The material in the course will lead to a deeper appreciation of Resurrection and its meaning in your faith journey.

Each week some pages will be assigned for reading and reflection. The questions will be placed on Monday for you to respond to anytime during the week. Participants in the class will find the conversation in this interactive program a challenging and enriching experience. This ministry is underwritten by the Diocesan Lay Endowment Fund and Supported by the Oblate Sharing Fund.

The first ten to register will be enrolled; application begins in May. Email Sister Frances Wessel (fwessel@ssnd-sl.org) for further information and registration. Participation requires only minimum computer skills; time line is six weeks;  it is interactive, reflective, prayerful. First ten to apply will be contacted with details regarding enrollment, accessing website, and practice week information.
